Terms of Service

These terms explain the arrangement between you and Lumenwillow when you visit our site or order a canvas. Please read them before you buy; they are written to be clear rather than clever.

01Who runs this shop

Lumenwillow is operated by AOJ HK LIMITED (referred to here as "Lumenwillow", "we" or "us"), whose registered office is:

Our inbox is info@lumenwillow.com, and our customer service email is available 24/7. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to these terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy, which are part of the same agreement.

02Age and eligibility

To place an order you need to be 18 or older, or have reached the age of majority where you live, and be able to form a binding contract. Anyone younger is welcome to look around, but a parent or guardian should make the purchase.

03Your account

You can check out as a guest. If you choose to create an account, keep your login details private, give us information that is true and current, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for orders placed through your account, and we may suspend an account that is used to break these terms.

04About our canvases

Every Lumenwillow piece is a reproduction of an impressionist-style painting, printed with archival pigment inks on poly-cotton canvas and gallery-wrapped around 1.25 in deep solid wood stretcher bars. Each arrives ready to hang with hardware attached. We offer three portrait sizes: 12 x 16 in, 16 x 20 in and 24 x 36 in. Because the three sizes have slightly different proportions, the composition is adjusted a little for each, and the outer edge of the image continues around the sides of the canvas.

Our paintings are printed reproductions, not hand-painted originals, and they are not signed or numbered. Screens vary in how they show colour, so the canvas you receive may look a shade warmer, cooler or brighter than it did on your device. Measurements are nominal and may differ by a small fraction of an inch.

05Prices

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and depend on the size you choose. Shipping is added at checkout, where you will see the full total before paying, together with any sales tax that applies. Customers outside the United States are responsible for any import duties or local taxes charged on arrival. We may update prices at any time; confirmed orders are not affected.

06Placing an order

When you submit an order you are making an offer to buy. The email you get straight after checkout acknowledges that we have received it; the contract is formed when we send your shipping confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order, for instance if a size becomes unavailable, a price has been shown in obvious error, or a payment looks suspicious. If we cancel after you have paid, you receive a full refund to your original payment method.

07Paying for your order

Payments are processed securely through Shopify's checkout and our payment processor. By paying you confirm that you are entitled to use the chosen payment method. Card details are handled by the processor; we never see or keep your full card number. See Payment & Security for the accepted methods.

08Shipping and when risk passes to you

Orders ship worldwide for a $7.99 flat rate and ship free once the order reaches $100. We prepare orders within 1-3 business days; delivery usually takes 5-9 business days within the U.S. and 10-20 business days elsewhere, with tracking on every parcel. These timings are estimates, not guarantees. The canvas becomes your responsibility once the carrier records it as delivered to the address given at checkout.

09Returns

You may return a canvas within 30 days of delivery, including if you simply change your mind. How to start a return, where to send it and how refunds work are explained in our Return & Refund Policy.

10Offers and discount codes

Discount codes and promotions apply only within their stated dates and conditions, have no cash value, and cannot be combined unless we say so. We may end a promotion early or refuse a code that is being abused.

11Intellectual property and our name

The artwork reproduced on our canvases and everything on this website, including images, text, graphics and page design, is owned by us or used under licence and is protected by copyright and related laws. Buying a canvas gives you the right to hang and enjoy it; it does not give you the right to copy, scan, reprint or sell the image. Lumenwillow is a trademark owned and operated by AOJ HK LIMITED. Please do not use the Lumenwillow name or any of our branding in a way that implies we endorse you or are connected with you.

12Using the site responsibly

You agree not to use the site for anything unlawful, not to upload harmful code, not to copy or harvest its content by automated means, not to attempt to breach its security, and not to impersonate anyone. We may block access for anyone who does.

13Reviews, photos and feedback

If you share a review, a photo of your canvas on your wall, or any other feedback, you confirm it is your own, truthful and lawful. You grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to show it on our website and social media in connection with Lumenwillow. We may decline or remove content that is offensive, misleading or off-topic.

14Third-party links

Our site may link to services run by others, such as a courier's tracking page. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

15Disclaimer

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. As far as the law permits, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service and we exclude any warranties not stated in these terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

16Limits on our liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither Lumenwillow nor AOJ HK LIMITED is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, connected with the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

17Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Lumenwillow and AOJ HK LIMITED against claims, losses and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

18Circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier or customs disruption, industrial action, power or internet outages, or public health emergencies. We will let you know if your order is affected and refund you if we cannot deliver it.

19Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections given by the laws of the country where you live. We would always rather hear from you first by email; most problems can be put right quickly.

20Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Each order is governed by the version in place at the time it was placed.

21Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in force. Not enforcing a right straight away does not mean we have given it up. These terms and the policies they refer to form the complete agreement between you and us regarding the site and your purchases.
