The painting
Furrows of lavender sweep from the foreground straight toward a single silvery olive tree on the horizon, drawing you deep into the picture. Above, the sky melts from tangerine to rose to lilac, with the sun just touching distant hills. Thick, directional strokes give each row a real sense of rhythm and texture.
