The painting
A pale dirt track curls uphill through gold grasses scattered with scarlet poppies and cobalt cornflowers. At the top sits a stone farmhouse among dark cypress trees, with rolling blue hills and white clouds beyond. Bright primaries against soft gold make it the most sunlit painting in the collection.
